 and Friday of this week is dedicated to C.I.T.S.  You are tasked with creating a government model.  You will have time in class to organize and work with your team, but you will need to work together to distribute homework tasks.

The exhibition date for government proposal is next Tuesday 11/26.

If no homework is assigned by the group, read for 30 min. each night.

Thursday - Read 30 min - Field Trip tomorrow!!!

Tuesday(7-7) and Wednesday(7-8) - Finalize notes on Forms of Govt. Video. Consider the following Driving Questions - Which govermnent system is best?  (In USA, China, your home country).  Like Ben Franklin from the film, you have the chance to create your own form of Governtment for Baja.  Begin thinking about the attributes of Government that you value, and would best like to see in our C.I.T.S. ccommunity.

 - Complete The Giver classwork from today.  Also, complete the weekly vocabulary exercise for the The Giver ch. 5-23.  Please pronounce, share and explain this week's vocabulary words with someone at home. Then choose 5 words on the list you know and write your own definition - what you think it means. Choose 5 words on the list you don't really know and research a definition.  Keep this in your vocabulary folder.  The list is located on the blog here.

Character List – list all characters and keep a short description based on both direct and indirect characterization.

Vocabulary(Chapters 5-23) – List 10 words (powerful or challenging), find out what they mean and bring them to class tomorrow.  We will create a class vocabulary for this week from this list.

Mentoring - Bring a dish for mentoring breakfast on Friday morning!

Continue with the development of your C.I.T.S. character.  Write more of your character's back story.

We are arriving in Baja with a chance to start a new society.   Consider the following: how are societies organized?  How are basic needs met in societies?  Why are governments formed?  What do governments do for society?

Make a list of 20 qualities(not things) you would like to see in our Baja.  Bring the list to class on Monday.
